that's how i feel myself about this blog. i need to take sometime and dream it all up again.
when i return, i won't be eelnahs. i'll be moving to a new blog home, under a new name.

this week has flown by ... too bad because after tomorrow, slider is off to bend and i'm stuck here in omaha. he's heading home to incredible amounts snow ... usually bend gets about 12 inches of precipitation a year .. well, they've hit that point and it's only the second week of january. amazing, isn't it. in fact, they closed the redmond airport yesterday ... first time in decades, because of ice. let's pray he gets home without too many delays.
other than that .. it's been pretty calm around here. work, which you think would slow down after the holidays, is picking up due to annual events coming up in february and march. my life has consisted of sleep, work, eat, work, sleep. i haven't had much time with slider before tomorrow's departure so tonight will be making sure he has everything and is packed.
so, the next few days will be depressing for me, because my love is heading home to start his new job.
who knows what the future will bring?
other than that ... who knew power point was so easy to use?
don't you love it when you suggest an idea months ago and then someone brings it up as their idea and they get all the credit? yea, i love it too. hrpmmm.
with my birthday approaching, it's that time of year to renew the drivers license. fun! i got a notice that since i had a violation on file, taking the test was my only option. so, i studied for a bit and took a practice test online yesterday morning. when i got to the dmv, which didn't have a testing area, i told them i needed renew my license and they took my picture and gave me a new one. is the test thing an honor system only in nebraska because they didn't ask if i needed to take the test. that pretty much made my day yesterday.
on the beat slider on bespelled front ... i scored 209,000 and then he beat me with a score of 319,000. i pretty much have given up on trying to beat that score since i have no time to sit and do it. you suck, slider. i will be nice to you since you're heading home in two days.
did you all know that hell has frozen over in omaha? yea, it was 15 below last night. so cold, topher decided sleep on the couch, instead of his bachelor pad in the basement. this morning, i was quite surprised to see him on the couch and as i walked by him on my way to get ready this morning he starting saying "oh my god, oh my god." so i ran over to see if he was ok and he screamed at me "AHHHHHHHHHH." i was a little confused when he said "who are you?" his eyes were wide open and i said, "it's me." he stilled looked frazzled and asked "where am i?" he was sleeping on the couch and figured it out. he quickly went into the spare room and went to sleep. what a goof?
it was so cold that we literally had NO customers at the part time job last night. instead of the evening being slow, we started checking clothing for tags for inventory. got to see all the good sales but i don't need any clothing. i work with this woman who is recently divorced. she was married for 27 years and only had dated her husband. well, now she's dating like a 20 year old and she cracks me up. she told me that it's fun, dating at her age. who would have know?
still nursing the hamster bite. but i wasn't late today!
i was 5 minutes late for work today but i didn't feel so bad once i saw the parking lot. seems i was the second person into the office because we got hit with 6 inches of snow yesterday. of course, that doesn't compare to what slider is going home to this week. i'm going to miss that boy :( ...
got a couple of things on my mind this morning ...
for starters, the whole nebraska coach thing .... offering $2.5 million to the coach nutt from arkansas? what business does the state of nebraska have PAYING $2.5 million for a coach??????? now, the athletic director is denying all of this but my GOD ... at least of million of that could go towards better use. i know, i am not a nebraska football fan but paying a coach that much .. my goodness. aren't our taxes high enough?
steve irwin ... i saw him on the today show this morning. my sister in law thinks what he did was horrible. honestly, i don't think he did anything wrong. the man lives with crocs in his back yard. his father was doing the same thing to him when he was a child. the man's been working with crocs his whole life and he knows what's he's doing and plus, he works with this croc everyday and lives on the edge. people need to understand that.
hamsters are evil. the big munchkin got one for christmas and yesterday while showing my niece how to nicely hold a hamster, it bit me. i have the nice bite mark to prove it. hope it doesn't have mad hamster disease.
the ring .. not a fan of scary movies but i kinda liked this movie. when the man and i decided to stay home of saturday night, i really didn't want to watch this movie but i thought it was pretty good, except i didn't like the ending.
sex and the city ... wasn't impress with the first episode. can't put my finger on what i didn't like but i wasn't exactly into it.
bespelled .. slider beat my high score and now i'm obsessed with beating his score but i can't even come close to his 300,000 point score. the secret is the bonus words.
i was chatting with noelle this morning about my desire to stay in. i've had no desire to do anything lately. just work, come home and sit. is it the after the holiday blues or the cold weather and snow that hit this weekend? i feel sorta bad but i only have a few more days with slider. on saturday night, i made dumplings and kraut and get this, a pot roast! it was so easy. am i getting old or what? spending my saturday nights making pot roast? i must add that slider's creme brulee was way better than my own recipe.
well, off to work. i'm wearing my uggs because it's cold outside and don't want cold feet.
